Yokohama Reflections Part 1

Hi peeps,

I will use this blog now to reflect on my yokohama Siggraph trip so that i can share with you people on my adventures there.

So we shall start off today, today we were briefed by ms Tan siew lan and another lecturer that i am not sure of the name. It started off wierdly, the briefing was at 4pm at the level 5 sidm conference room. We were told to leave the room while both the lecturers discussed about the trip. after close to 5-10 mins we went back in, while the other lecturer tried to pursuade us not to go siggraph by saying "Why do you want to go in the first place?"... "why spend your parents money for this?"..."it's not a fun trip. if you want a fun trip go with chan brothers or something else"... "you never even check the siggraph website.. why you want to go?".."you never asked your seniors who went?"..."it's madness conference.... hotel... conference.. hotel... conference... hotel". were some of the questions he put forward.

In the end he walked off dejectedly saying he tried to convince us not to go but failed. we just laughed it off. so after that it became more serious matters, where some people are not allowed to go because the lecturers say they can't cope with school work. the room became quite tense as that happened. In the end it ended and there was sigh of relief from the rest of us who are not on the no-fly list.

The itenarary was passed around and we settled on 3 person a room instead of 2 person a room. and most importantly for me, we have time to stop by the pokemon center in japan woo. the main attraction for me. more details to come. We are gona stay at a business hotel, with internet access... all the better to keep this up to date.
